Ang TristanCafe ay isa nang alamat. Nag-”hello world!” ang website noon pang September 2002, nauna pa kami sa facebook at youtube. Kung hindi lang tamad ang may-ari at hindi tinigil ang development ng site for several years, baka natalbugan pa namin yang mga facebook na yan. Libre naman ang mangarap.
Nakilala ang TristanCafe dahil sa streaming pinoy music, mga lathalain na mostly ay tungkol sa pag-ibig, mga nakakaaliw na blogs tulad ng kay Manay Letty at Ms. F, funny original quizzes, at syempre our one-of-a-kind forum na buhay na buhay pa din hanggang ngayon.
And after several years of inactivity in terms of development, muli naming binubuhay ang Tristancafe. May bagong bihis, mas pina-astig, mas pina-bongga!
Our main content now mostly consist of funny photos and videos, mga kung anu-anong “viral” web thingies, and other cool stuff that we want to share with everyone. At dahil sumikat ang tristancafe dati dahil sa OPM offerings namin, we’re still featuring filipino music, pero ngayon mga music videos na ng ating local artists, hindi na yung streaming music na medyo tunog lata dahil sa baba ng file quality, hindi pa kasi masyado uso ang DSL at cable internet noon. And of course, buhay pa din ang tristancafe forums, kahit vintage na, panalo pa din!
And last but not the least, meron na din kaming sariling social network, ang Chochalan! It’s like a simpler and smaller version of Facebook na may halong konting Twitter, with a unique pinoy flavor, done tristancafe-style. Sakay na!
Regarding some of our old content like yung mga blogs at quizzes, they are moving to a new website which we will announce soon. Magkakaroon na ng kapatid ang TristanCafe! The new site will also contain original funny videos made by us, kaya abangan. We’re hoping to launch it bago mag end of the world! (Target launch date: Sep 2012)
