They serve different kinds of international and Filipino dishes and yummy cakes and pastries from which they were famous for.

Soup, Sides, and Salads

Highly Recommended:
Fresh Tomato Soup (Hearty soup of slowly-simmered fresh tomatoes)
Pan con Tomato (Sliced tomato and anchovy paste on baguette rounds, topped with melted cheese)
Focaccia and Pesto (Focaccia bread sticks served with a basil pesto dip)
Chef’s Salad (Mixed greens with your choice of dressing: thousand island, balsamic vinaigrette or Asian dressing, with optional topping of tuna flakes or grilled chicken)

Pinakafavorite ko sa category na ito ang Fresh Tomato Soup dahil malalasahan mo talaga ang fresh tomato. Yung tipong kapipitas lang sa Bahay Kubo. It has a combination of sweet and salty taste which suits just right. Syempre, mas masarap itong higupin habang mainit-init pa, yung tipong mapapaso at malalapnos ang dila mo.

Sandwiches
Highly recommended:
Kiss Club (three sandwiches in one: chicken asparagus, tuna, and German frank)

Not once, not twice, but thrice! Three sandwiches in one na talaga namang parang tatlong beses kang mapupunta sa langit sa sobrang linamnam at sarap! San ka pa!

Pasta
Highly Recommended
Gamberi (Hot, sautéed shrimps with garlic, lemon juice, green chili, and olive oil. Served with spaghetti and topped with Parmesan cheese)
Pesto Pasta (Spaghetti tossed with basil and walnuts blended in olive oil and garlic)

Pinakafavorite ko sa mga pasta nila ang Gamberi. It’s hot and spicy with a lemon twist tang and rich shrimp taste. Dagdagan mo pa ng Parmesan cheese para magkaroon ng salty taste, and voila! If its taste is a color, it would be a rainbow. At wag ka, each serving is good for two. Pero hindi kita masisisi kung kaya mong ubusin mag-isa ang isang order dahil sobrang sarap naman talaga!

House Specialties & Filipino Favorites
Highly Recommended:
Chicken Kiev (Roulade of tender chicken breast filled with cream cheese, butter, and herbs. Served with mixed vegetables and rice, or with garlic mashed potatoes)
Grilled Fish Steak (Fillet of tuna or tanigue, with stir-fried vegetables and rice. )
Hainanese Chicken Rice (Stewed white chicken with ginger in oil, dark soy sauce, and chili dip. Served with clear chicken broth and chicken-flavored rice.)
Beef Caldereta (Beef chunks stewed in tomato-liver sauce with potatoes, chorizo, bell peppers, and olives. Served with pandan rice)

Chicken Kiev and Grilled Fish Steaks are my favorites. Chicken Kiev is chicken meat rolled with cream cheese inside with buttery taste which will linger in your mouth. The Grilled Fish Steak has a buttery and salty taste which will push just the right buttons of your taste buds. Hindi din papatalo sa pasarapan ang stir-fried vegatables na bagay na bagay na side dish ng Grilled Fish Steak because it complements the taste. Sa stir-fried veggies pa lang, panalo na!

Cakes and Pastries
Highly Recommended
Chocolate Kiss Suite (Three square slices of cakes per order. Choose from: Devil’s Food Cake, Carrot Cake, Dayap Chiffon Cake, Kahlua Butter Cake or Prune Cake)

Their cakes are irresistable! It’s sweet and heavenly. Definitely a shame for people who are on a diet. Hindi kagaya ng icing sa ibang cakes, their icing is light yet fluffy and buttery but not too sweet and oily. Hindi ito yung tipo ng cake na kapag kinain mo eh para ka na ring nag-lipstick dahil sa sobrang mamantika ng icing. Hindi nakakasawa! To die for ang kanilang Devil’s Food Cake. If you hate the devil, then this one will be an exception, trust me.

For the beverages, I suggest to try their Iced Tea (which is bottomless). Dahil ang iced tea nila, “iced tea” talaga. Take note, they make their own. Bawat order, may syrup na kasama kaya pwede mo itong timplahin ayon sa iyong panlasa.

(Meron silang tinatawag na Exclusive Menus na kung saan ay “exclusive” lamang itong sineserve sa either UP or Chino Roces Branch.)

PLACE

Chocolate Kiss Cafe has two branches. One in Chino Roces, and one in the Ground and Second level of UP Bahay ng Alumni.

The place in Chino Roces is cozy and comfy yet not intimidating. The place in UP is cozy and comfy as well with a touch of simplicity suitable for students. Madali ding bigkasin ang nakasulat sa menu kaya wag kang kabahan. Pwedeng puntahan ng magbabarkada, at pwede ding “date venue” ng mga mag-lovers. Yung place na pwede mong puntahan sa Valentine’s Day or anniversary with your love one. Malaki din ang space, enough to accomodate the customers.

Hindi din sila papahuli sa service. They serve the food fast while still hot. And the waiters are spontaneous to attend to your needs.

PRICE

The food ranges from 60 to 250 pesos. Quite costly para sa mga chochal na kagaya natin (na 100 pesos ang basehan kung mura o mahal ang isang meal), pero sulit naman. Isang serving lang ng kahit anong food nila, busog ka na. At kagaya nga ng sinabi ko, one serving of pasta is good for two. Kaya I suggest na pag pupunta ka dun, may kasama ka para may ka-share ka sa gastos devah?
