Mourning
the echoes of dawn long gone,
the wind has blown,
and the eyes of God are shut.
abandoned. forgotten. miserable.
the sky has cried and wept.
nothing else can be done
the time has passed
and no more the dreams succumb
smile, laugh, and mock their innocence!
but Alas! this is the man you've become!
no more the long hours of toil.
no more also the hearts that touch.
no one can go back,
not to the life that once was...
not to the life that no longer is...
