para sa akin walang limitations ang science dahil kung meron...wala tayong mga new discoveries every year

for example sa medicine... marami ng breakthroughs on some diseases that before they thought is incurable but now there is hope for a cure...

and i think the limitation is on the people who are in the field of science...

ung mga principles and ethics

science has no limitation its infinite. everything you can see and do can be explained by science, but this notion of science cause dispute against religion.
ias    •reply Nov 5, 2009 @ 12:31 PM

it cannot explain everything..
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-5-09@1:44PM
yes it can, tell me something science can't explain? and don't infuse religion here cause science and religion cannot co exist.

Earth does rotate and revolve around the sun as stated in science, but I wonder about one thing. Kaya try mo explain skin using your science.

How come in every rotation and every revolution of the earth there is no water from the seas or buildings in the cities or animals in the forest or humans around everywhere that was thrown to space? With the power of earths motion gravity cannot stand to hold things on earth’s surface. Try to think of a glass of water. If you move it quickly the water will definitely spill out and it’s because of the motion happened. If the gravity can hold in pulling down the water, it would not jump out of the glass; it would be pulled down to the bottom of the glass. How strong you are comparing to the force which makes the world move?

WOW! this will help me a lot... thanks JUJAN4 ^________^
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-5-09@10:58PM
Is that the best thing you could come up? Cmon man, science has explanation for that, just google it and you'll find more in depth answers.
  JUJAN4    •reply    Nov-5-09@3:33PM
Ito pa explain mo using science.
Hihinga na lang sila directly from their nose.
  protagonist    •reply    Nov-5-09@6:43PM
But di po un designed to be use by the fish for breathing purposes. : s m i l e :

Applying logic to your post, pwde ring sabihin na....

Jowk lang. Don't take my last post po too seriously. : b l u s h :
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-5-09@11:03PM
Every organism in the universe has it's own way of surviving the harsh environment they're in, that's because of evolution. And again if you want more in depth answer just google it, and I'm sure science has an explanation on your query.
  sairaval    •reply    Nov-5-09@11:30PM
that's exactly why it cannot explain everything.

to answer the post, science is limited to the observable, ranging from the microworld to the macro.
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-6-09@12:40AM
What r u talking about? The querries above was just answered.

I agree with you it's limited to what we have right now but everything can be explained it's just that were still trying to find out how.
  sairaval    •reply    Nov-6-09@7:14PM
reasonings you used were wrong. try searching.
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-6-09@11:23PM
What exactly is wrong with my reasoning? You don't even know what your're talking about.
  ias    •reply    Nov-7-09@2:50PM
can science explain my existence? and by the why.. for what reason do i exist?...
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-7-09@3:54PM
here we go again, you're question is somewhat leaning towards religion. you're question can be answered scientifically and religiously, which one would you prefer?

religion:you exist because god made you and the purpose of your existence is to praise and worship god.

science:big bang theory and other theories explain how the universe came to existence. purpose of our existence is were a part of a chain that if broken will
cause imbalance on mother nature
thus affecting other life form.
  ias    •reply    Nov-10-09@3:23PM
yey..thanks for the info..nag.exist pala ako dhil..
"purpose of our existence is were a part of a chain that if broken will
cause imbalance on mother nature
thus affecting other life form. " haha..now i know! : s m i l e :

ahm...

sairaval    •reply Nov 5, 2009 @ 11:34 PM

philosophy. try answering that in a scientific way..
impossible. you could only think about it.

science cannot even explain what a thought is and its mechanisms.
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-5-09@11:57PM
Philosophy is science by itself my friend
inkwayrer    •reply Nov 6, 2009 @ 3:19 AM

Science has limitations.

Everything has. If science is unbounded, then why is the evoluting still remains as a theory.

I'll be a broken record okay?

Can science explain love?

Or can science explain why the brain only uses less than 10%?

Or why it hasn't found cures for cancer.

Science can't explain everything, it can only provide proofs, but not fro everything.

If science can explain the bible, I'll believe that science has limitations.

Because at that rate, God has givin his genius mind to people.

Because the greatest scientist is God. He knows every equation.

God produced physics. God used religion and combined it with science.

Now, when our superficial science begins explaining that phenomenon. That will be the time when science can say taht it has no boundaries.

But until then, until the time it can explain God, science is bounded to the core. It has every limitation you can imagine.
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-6-09@5:34AM
Damn, like I said on my previous post don't try to infuse religion in our discussion as it will just won't work. And about the evolution your talking about, it's because we weren't there at the evolution process or when the universe came to existence so the best thing we can do is come up with a theory, but surely there's an explanation for that, and that's why I said our knowledge is limited to what we can see and observe.
  protagonist    •reply    Nov-7-09@11:24PM
I agree to what the man above me says.

Science can explain everything. Because it evolves, not like Religion. Religion has it's limitations. Religion can't even prove the existence of their god in a scientific and rational way.

Even though Science can't explain what is Love, what's the cure for cancer and so for, there will come a day that Science can give definitive answers to these questions. : w i n k :
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-8-09@5:17AM
ty, you really are a protagonist after all. : l o l :  : l o l :
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-8-09@5:23AM
yep, like you said science can explain everything the problem is were still trying to find an answer for everything, and eventually in the future with modern technology and higher knowledge well find what we've been looking for, a breakthrough.
inkwayrer    •reply Nov 6, 2009 @ 3:21 AM

I science can explain the bible, I'll believe that science has NO limitations

Typo lang.
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-6-09@4:50AM
That's why science and religion can't co exist.
Psychotic101    •reply Nov 6, 2009 @ 9:02 AM

Religion.
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-6-09@1:41PM
i guess your right, its like water and oil, it just wont mix.

religion:how can you explain the resurrection of jesus christ?
science:i can't
religion:why not?
science:because there's not enough evidence that jesus even existed in this world.
religion:its faith my friend,faith.

: l o l :  : l o l :  : l o l :
science wants facts, religion says faith, and the argument just goes on.
  Psychotic101    •reply    Nov-6-09@2:04PM
Yup.

Faith is something you can't question because it stems from something intangible. Science usually concludes based on hard evidence and faith isn't one of them.
  ias    •reply    Nov-7-09@2:56PM
maybe we'll just wait for the time that both things can be explain using both explanation ,, just thought it will happen..

science can't explain love
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-9-09@12:03PM
love makes the world go round : s m i l e :  : s m i l e :  is that enough explanation for you?
  ias    •reply    Nov-10-09@3:30PM
haha..astig! science ba yun nagexplain nun?
  binsoy18    •reply    Nov-11-09@11:52AM
